Made from O1 tool steel this sloyd knife blade is 3 inches long and has a 28°flat over hollow grind.
O1 tool steel has a rich long history in wood working tools. The steel has a wonderful balance of edge retention and sharpenability.
The 3inch blade is one of my personal favorites for spoon carving. It has enough length to make large slicing cuts when roughing things out and it's short enough for me to get in close with the blade tip for those tight curves when doing the final finishing.
